I think it's one of the best films I've seen in the last few years.

Yep, Donnie was an insane film, and a nice change from all the formular crap that Hollywood was churning out. I think that Jake Gyllenhaal (yes, I did have to look at the cover to spell that one!) made an awesome film debut (if you don't count his bit part in City Slickers as Billy Crystals son).

this is one of my favourite films eeeeeeeever!!!!! i loved everything about it-it was totally unpredictable, had multiple interpretations, the music was fantabulous, jake was amazing in it, the whole idea was just fantastic and it was so thought provoking and clever and funny and amazing all in one. i was totally confused at the start, like most people i'd imagine, but it just gets better with every watch cos you pick up little things every time which is sooo class biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

frank really freaked me out at the start, but hes cute now biggrin.gif

Nah, I got the boring 'normal' edition DVD from when it came out first. The only thing that comes up on my DVD menu is chapter selection sad.gif

Whats the extras like on the bumper edition?

Hmm.... I wouldn't have said that the ending was a typical American ending. American endings are typically happy and all the loose ends are tied up in a neat fasion (that usually defies all laws or reason and logic). Donnie Darko didn't end like that cool.gif

Donnie Darko is simply amazing. Everything about it was completely against all the rules of filming all done in the right way if any1 understands that. Anywayz its an alround gr8 film an i love it.
