Does no-one know why Jesus was crucified?...tut-tut.

Jesus died to absolve us of our sin...which sin? The original sin -which used to be known as "the ancestral sin"- y'know, the one Adam and Eve commited, eating from a tree.

Every child (even unborn ones) from that mythological date has been tainted by sin and marked for Hell. So God incarnated himself as a human and tortured himself to death to absolve us of that sin.

No matter how many times I read that last sentence it makes no sense, but that's what was supposed to have happened.

Cept that adam and eve didn't exist to commit the sin in the first place... and that still doesn't say why an unborn baby can be sinful.

So he died to save us from a sin He created (remember he knows all that has and will happen)......by people who never existed.

So god should in fact of never created the sin therefore removing Jesus.

But if we needed Jesus he would put the sin there in order for Jesus to be needed.

But God IS jesus..remember?..he's the father the son and the holy ghost, and as such cannot die, so he never really died on the cross anyway!

How can he die for our sin if he's immortal?

Excellent question, it shows you are serious about these matters rather than simply makng fun of Christians as some others have done.

The answer is that God became man (the incarnation) so that He could die for our sins. However, although He became man He was still divine.

I'm serious about pointing out the stupidity of RELIGION, it's just that I'm most familiar with the Christian meme.

So he knew he would not really "die" and everything we think when we feel pity/shame/guilt/whatever is a load of rubbish. If you know you are not going to really come to harm, the act of sacrifice means nothing.

He did know He was going to die and predicted His death a number of times.

But it doesn't count if you know you are coming back. A sacrifice is only a sacrifice if you actually loose something.

1) There was a tremendous amount of physical pain.

2) The greatest agony was to be cut off from His Father when He was bearing the weight of our sins. Hence the cry "My God, why have you forsaken me".

3) If He had not risen from the dead He could not have been our Saviour; a dead Saviour is useless, He had to rise to show His power over death.

Or the cunning of his followers.

Which with his powers should have been a dodle to stop.

So what happened to the trinity?..father son and holy ghost, the three in one? I've heard it said Jesus is god, so why cry out to himself to stop a mess he knew was coming (it's all part of Gods plan remember)
QUOTE

3) If He had not risen from the dead He could not have been our Saviour; a dead Saviour is useless, He had to rise to show His power over death.

So him "dying" is a load of tosh, he knew he was coming back? so what exactly did he sacrifice? Like I've said before, to sacrifice means to loose something.
