VHS is dead, why does anybody still want it for??? Whos still using a technology 25 years old that fades everytime you watch it....

DVD-recorders are now affordable and the if taped from straight from live TV will still be that quality forever and a day, and frankly anyone who goes out and buys something new on VHS (alvalible on DVD) should be shot...

But its going to be a pain to have to replace all your favourite videos to DVD format.
And personally I like the look of a Video box than a tiny DVD wink.gif

But then Im old enough to have had a Betamax Video Player laugh.gif

In theory they say over 1,000 times. In pratice if your careful with the disc im still using a DVD+RW disc I bought about a year ago, I must re-written on it about 100+ times now and its still same perfect qulity as the 1st, unlike a VHS tape which would of been unwatchable on jumpy after about 10 re-tapes and would of also have snapped at about the 30 re-use

No contest - DVD's win hands down. I must confess that I usually don't pay any attention to audio commenteries or the extras (except for the ones on the LOTR trilogy extended editions). I love 'em for the sound and picture quality.
