I'm surprised there doesn't seem to be a Thread for telling people what you thought of a Film you've seen.
So here's the chance for you to tell us all what you thought of a Film you've just seen and give us your Review/Opinion. Obviously don't tell us the punchline or spoil the Ending or anything like that.

I just saw Monster's Ball and this is my Review:

At first I thought it was going to be just another Film about the evil of Capital Punishment, with maybe a guy who was wrongly accused and the Courtroom Drama thing. I couldn't have been more wrong and was very pleasantly surprised, the story is more about the effects on everyone else than it is about the guy on Death Row.

I found this to be a deeply emotional and refreshing Film. The tragedy in it is painful but it is ultimately Healing and Liberating.

Oh My GOdDOGSVILLE - Nicole Kidman, If you like stage play and intense psychological matter, I would highly recommend this film.

Dace harlequin this film could keep you going in philosophical discussion and arguement for eons and eons.

didn't expect the ending, almost fell off my chair.

hhhmmm I understand that comment. Normally I try to avoid kidman films but she actually gives a stunning performance in this one. Quite a few fine actors in it. I dont think you would want to miss a minute of it. It's an astounding look at an especially human phenomenon. unsure.gif It's a bit intellectual but worth a look

Sin City

Not everyone's cup of tea, but one of the most visually stunning films I've ever seen! (And I don't just mean special effects, but the way it's shot and the use of black and white with some slight colour use)

I've heard about a lot of films taking a 'comic book' approach, but this has it in spades. From the bizzare plot lines and pulp dialogue, this film is mezmerising. The acting is a bit ropey in places (Clive Owen's yank acccent is pittyful), but this has an unbelivable cast, and even small scenes are done with big name actors. Violent, but not gratutitosly so, and really funny in places.

If you like youre films a bit different, they don't come more 'out there' than this!!!

Wow! All these Posts and I only just got back here. One of my best Friends Loved Dogsville, even though it had Kidman in it. Maybe it's one of those Films that you either Love or Hate, with no in between.

Yeah, Sin City! I read the Book and saw the Film. It's great. But, um, Dace "Violent, but not gratutitosly so"??? Well if you don't mind Cannibals eating Women and mounting their Heads on the Wall and so on, I guess so unsure.gif

Anyone seen Romero's Land of the Dead yet? I was just watching Dawn of the Dead, the old Computer games (including Boot Hill) they play in the Shopping Mall cracked me up. What made me Laugh even more was when the Zombies are walking around in the Mall, I thought <Apart from the speed of their progress how is this different from the usual brain dead Consumers one finds there> *Hee hee*

Er, okay Sin City might be a little bit violent. But it's done with style, so that makes it okay tongue.gif

Land of the Dead has had some really rough reviews. My brothers seen it and he rekons it's pretty good, and he's a fan of the originals like me. I'm hoping to see it this week.

While we're on the subject of dead people, what did you all think of the remake of Dawn of the Dead? I honestly thought they'd mess it up and tone it down, but I was well impressed with it.

Was that the one where the Zombies ran at you instead of shuffling? Oh yeah I Liked it as much as the original smile.gif

Let me know what you think of Land of the Dead. I won't have any cash to go and see it, and anyway I won't pay to see a Cinema Film that is less than 100 minutes in length smile.gif
