Anyone care to make pre-World Cup score predictions for England? Perhaps we could make predictions as the competition progresses.

I don't think Rooney would have made any difference - or not a big one - England do not play an attacking game which is what is needed to get anywhere really. We would have been ok aginst the lesser teams but the moment we meet a S. American team like Brazil or Argentina we would get royally stuffed. Face it. We were never more than 'also rans'.

I bet the person who is praying hardest for rooney is his uncle, placed a £200 bet on him when he was 14, got odd of 250 to 1 that he would play in the 2006 world cup.
