The new episode of Dr Who started today. I wouldn’t say it was one of its best... no Daleks etc... but it is early days.

I watched the repeat tonight, liked this episode a nice easy going one to welcome us back into the world of the Doctor, but of course not withouts its twists like a glimpse of Rose!!

Rose is a crowd puller... should bring some more views in.

Because he was captured in a point in time... but which time is more to the point; which I suppose you asked.

We visited my parents yesterday and mentioned we watched Dr Who with regularity, and after last night's episode my mother phoned me to tell me they too had watched it and had decided that if this was the stuff that stimulated my brain they had taken the wrong baby from the hospital 32 years ago!

Thought tonight was an improvement - back to the more traditional problem aliens scenario that we come to associate with Dr Who and a hint of the end of the Dr also.

I dunno, but its rather annoying to see Bernard Cribbins in this season. He was in the film Dalek Invasion with Peter Cushing as the Dr I am hoping that it is the same character, I think they should base an entire season on the dalek invasion of earth, but perhaps that would be beyond the BBC's budget.

Bernard Cribbins was in Dr Who film of the 60's. He also had a charge record - in the 60's - called Right Said Fred.

WOW! I have to admit tonights episode was a corker, Davros looked abolutely stuuning, better that the last time we saw him in some snow globe type capsule twenty years ago. It was a throw back to the good old Tom Baker day.

Well there you have it, and they pulled all the stops out, loved it when Davros Recognised Sarah Jane Smith. I don't think It will be the end of Davros, you didn't really see him die.
The problem is now, will the BBC bring it back in 2010. Yes there will be specials, but you know the beeb they often make promises they cant keep.

I can't believe it!
The new producer of Dr Who has announced that he wants rid of the old and wants in with the new! He wants to get rid of the daleks!? I don't get it they're the best known villians to the country! You can't get rid of them, even before dr who came back back people were still uttering the word 'exterminate' it's wrong and I'm not happy!

Ignore it, its probably media hype to keep the interest up. When they relaunched the new series in 2005 Russel T Davies said have wasn't going to bring back the Daleks, but they came back, the daleks will be back, they're one of those enemies that draws in the audience.
