Why do people waste all there spare time trying to make virus´s they must be very lonley sad people lost get a life
o i definately agree!! 
They are very sad. and they make themselves feel good by making other people mad. 
I have a brother like that 
What codes does he use to make viruses?
One day I hope to meet somebody who makes viruses face to face (especially someone who makes bloody "trojans") it promises to be a very violent few minutes.
They are lonely and have nothing to do.

Im scared, I made a trojan once.....BUT!!! it was only for fun i only infected a friend...Scared him a bit and then took it back off and i have never touched trojans again.
So will i not be hurt now, as i have only made one and i have never used the for about 4 years?
How did you make that trojan anyway?

Also referred to as penatration testing, which with permission is a high paying legal job to look for holes in software before it is released to the masses.
Sounds like a good job. Did you look for holes in Microsoft's software?

That's like looking for holes in a sieve.
And a very big one at that.
I'm about as far from an expert on software as it's possible to get, and still be able to use a pc, but to my mind, any system that is still putting out patches some 4-5 years after it's release date has gotta be dodgy.
It's just a shame that all of us (me anyway) dummies are pretty much forced to use it.
To be brutally honest, I kinda don't blame people for mucking Microsoft about, throwing mud at ineptitude and greed has always been a socially acceptable game amongst the general masses. It's just that when viruses hit the general public and threaten to ruin everyones fun I get annoyed.
Real skill is shown by a sniper, spraying indescriminately is clumsy and stupid.

I was watching "have I got news for you" last night, and they said that he created the worm "to drum up work for his mothers PC repair shop" What a bean brain! Did he really think that 3 million people were going to make a beeline for his mothers poxy little repair shop shop? 
So is there anything behind the concept that some of the major anti virus companies employ (off the record) people to create new viruses in order to create self perpetuating income?

People make viruses because it makes them feel empowered.
Also, I think that alot of viruses are made by anti-virus companies. After all, if there were no viruses they would be out of business.

I don't c the piont. I've got a hacker friend an does alsorts. Last saturday he got bored so he hacked in2 the morrisons (yes thas right the supermarket) mainframe. I DON'T C THE POINT
Someone has used a trojan to dump an advert for anti-spyware and anti virus software on my desktop.
My anti virus program killed the trojan but left the advert. I can't find the advert program anywhere. All I can say about it is that the damn thing hides my wallpaper and refreshes itself every 10 seconds or so.
It has also dumped an icon on my taskbar wich keeps popping up saying my pc is infected...which it is...by this f*****g advert!
I've blocked it from acsessing the net, but it is very annoying having it there.
The company it advertises is "PSYGAURD". You have been warned that company uses dodgy methods of advertising.
(PS. If anyone knows how to get rid of it I'm all ears)

I always manage to collect these and after getting rather angry with me Pete is able to get rid of them He'll be back soon I'll ask him for you. 
i think its a talent.. but means does not justify ends.. its still bad.

Not sure why they do it, but they do like to cause trouble. May it be revisited on them sometime, lol.
i thought that my computer is clean, but i went to an expert and he found million of viruses on it. i had to delete evrything
Any anti-virus system or firewall is only as good as its last update.

Maybe with a greater Grasp on the English lang. you WOULD, but i'm sure that would help with most things.
Anywhooo virus's are a piece of pee to make, you learn how to create virus’s when studying computing, its basic programming. I mean they don’t teach in as in-
"hay Jimmy how would you like to screw up Billy’s computer for a laugh?"
"I sure would Mister!"
But they do teach you how to make programs that automatically close windows on opening and Open files etc automaticly along with making balls bounce across the screen etc…. not overly useful stuff, granted.
Its just case of taking it a step further. Why you cry because you have to be able to grasp how to do such to go on to do advance programming and create USEFUL programs!
In all fairness you can whip one up fairly quick with VB, Java C++ or any other program writing equipment.
Its a skill thing.
Anway the Funnier Point here is the fact you guys all say its sad to do... Look at yourself for a moment..… ..YOUR ON A FORUM, how many times do I have to point this out !

Sorry (I'm being Serious btw).
Without reading through this topic, so apologies if this has already been said. I would have thought most common reason for people to make virus' is 1. Because they can and the idea of power/reputation, etc... Although they can be a bad thing. and 2. To charge people to get rid of them They are in effect making work for people to the lieks of the symantec's, sophos' of the world... without viruses, where would these people be... Not that I think they're a good idea, but still.... who knows what goes on behind closed doors

That was in my past and i can happily say that my grasp on the english language is hunky dory now

i get them alot 2 ive had my pc 4/5 months 1 got through and i blocked loads out
