Some times i cant log in to the forum,some times i cant even see the forum, any one else having trouble?

Some times when i click on the the best uk forum sign in favourites i get a best uk message saying i am not allowed to use it, so the first t ime it happened i though i must have been banned for some reason, so i then tapped in to a Proxy server, put in the best uk web address, and then i could actually see the forum and check the posts, but could not post my self, then the next day it worked ok.This has happened about 4 times in the last week or so.

I could not access the site this morning, but later in the day, i could.

Is any oner else having this problem by any chance???

No I hardly get chance log in nowadays but when I do it works.

How are you able to view and post? As you would normally or with a proxy site?

Some times i can view the forum and ime able to post as ime doing right now, no problem at all. but other times, when i click on best uk in my favorites it goes straight to the login page, with a message that says ime not allowed to use the forum, and i cant even see the forum at all, when that happens, link to best uk through a proxy server, and then i can see the forum, but cant post.

Is no one else having this problem?

Well firstly, proxy sites (assuming thats what you mean, and not a server) can sometimes not let you post. Just depends which proxy site you use.

As for you posting normally, or trying to, do you always go online at the same place? ie home etc? cos i've had a look at your account and you have used so many different ip's its incredible. I have banned loads of ip's recently in a bid to try to stop spammers coming. But if you can sometimes log on and sometimes cant, then that isnt the reason, as if i have unintentionally banned your ip, then you wouldnt be able to get on all the time.

Unless you go online at loads of different locations, then it could be the reason. If you find you cant post after reading this, feel free to email us at bestukforums@live.co.uk

I've just checked the bukf email and bedrock and someone else are actually having similar problems. But i think they just could never get on at all.

TT, your problem must also be that i've banned an ip that a spammer had and you must have one similar if you post from lots of different locations. But i need to know where you cant post from, and which ip thats gonna be (dont post the ip, just gimme a link to a post you've made from a location that you posted it from)

Yes your right of course i meant a proxy site.

Its weird that you always post at the same place cos looking at your recent posts from this morning and last night, you have a few different ip's. Do you just have the one internet provider?

Ok when you reply to this, can you do it the way you would normally (not a proxy site) so i know which ip or ip'si need to look at

An ip is your internet address basically, and its made up of lots of different numbers. Everyone has one.. although some people have a roaming ip which means each time you log on, it makes you have a different ip. But you would know if you have that cos you'd choose to have it

ok, find out what your ip is and pm it to me. Use this, it gives you the ip at the very top in big letters

Ive got the ip address, but what, i am sorry to say that i have little idea of ip address's, i think i am going to have to study a we bit.

it doesnt matter tt. Send me the ip and i'll see if i've unintentionally banned it. I mean, its not like i cant see it already. But i dont know which is your home one and what isnt

Ok TT i got your email and i havent banned your ip so i dont think that your problem is down to us i'm afraid

No i dont understand how sometimes you can get on and sometimes not. What browser do you use? you could try a different one and see if you still get the same problem. I'll move this to the Technical Times area to see if anyone else has some suggestions

Internet Explorer or Mozilla, but when i cant log on, its the same with both browsers.

I use both I E and Mozilla, but when i cant log on, it applies to both browser's

Hey Scorpio, its just done now wile i was actually on the forum, i loged on no problem, i posted to oolongch to oolongcha i then tried to post to another thread, and i got that damn message again "your not allowed to use the forum" or words to that effect.

i sut down the puter and rebooted and then ime here posting with no problem again, but this is the first time its happened wile ive actually been on the forum.

I really dont get whats going on I've googled the problem too and didnt find anything. Can you still do a screen shot for me though so i can see exactly what you get when it happens?

Its just happened again, i am now accessing the forum through a proxy site again, Some one is taking the piste me thinks Its a good crack, but if i get my hands them, i will be doing some facial remodeling on them.

Every timei add the image, the wordong on the button that says host it, changes to bad file type.

If its a jpg it should work
