A combination of the gf buying me a proper dartboard (in a cupboard with doors) and the current world championships on the BBC (via red button usually) have rekindled my love of darts. Any other darts fans on here or am I in the minority?

Hi there AB i'm a darter played most of my life i was the captain of my pub team 2 years ago and we won the league
with me being on shift work i am not playing in the league this year
PHIL TAYLOR Was up in wick a couple of years ago and all the locals were hovering over him but i'm not like that and was very surprised when he came over and introduced himself
and was very happy to find that he was so down to earth

Used to play for a pub team years back, used to play loads with me grandad when I was a kid. As for watching it I did watch in the 80's when there seemed to be more big time charlies playing like the crafty cocney and jockey wilson. I loved watching John Lowe he was the bees knees

i'm not a fan of darts myself

but after watching the final yesterday, when i wanted to watch Top Gear ... made me love it

and its one of 2 sports, where you can eat whatever you like really, the other sport is Sumo Wrestling

It was a great final again this year - not as dramatic as Adams vs Nixon 2 years back but very entertaining nonetheless. I have had to lay off playing at mo because my foot is sore from standing with all my weight leant on it.
