Racisism, I am a Haole, a white boy and an outsider.[size=3]

When I worked in Hawaii on the island of Oahu, all whites were referred to as Haoles, even people from the other USA states !

I have enclosed this to tell you more.

A few years ago I was on Oahu and stayed with friends. A big job broke out in the movie buisness and so they all had to work. The same part where Jurassic Park was filmed. They had to lay down narrow gauge railway tracks so the cameras could move smothely, etc,, etc. After a few hours with them, I became bored.
I got a ride to Dole and signed on as an itinerant labourer on the plantation. Most of my co-workers were men and women from the Phillipine islands.
At the end of the day,,,,,,, my belly was empty, my hands were raw and my shoulders and back were a blood red. A lady dabbed some calomine lotion onto my back and gave me the rest of the bottle.
The truck dropped me off near a place called Jack in the box in Kuhio. I semi staggered across the bridge over the Ala Wai Canal. Got to my apt and had a shower,,,,, then I had to put the lotion on my back using cotton wool balls and chop sticks.
That night I had aches and pains in parts of my body which I never knew existed.
The truck picked me up at 5 a.m. the following morning and thankfully it was raining. My teashirt had stuck to the calomine lotion on my back.

At the end of two weeks there, I was very tanned. I never took a job which could have been for a local ! I was the blackest white boy there > Put you lot to shame.
