I'd not heard of them, but I listened to a couple of clips of their songs on the web site - a bit disappointed; I think I was expecting something like Theatre of Tragedy or Anathema.
Scorpio
I saw Anathema in April when they were supporting HIM. I wasnt too keen unsure.gif

I'm surprised they're still going! The albums I have date from the 90s - and still very good, I think smile.gif

What about Lacrimosa? In particular, I'm thinking of albums like Elodia, Stille and Inferno... I'm just realising how much time's slipped by ohmy.gif
Scorpio
Really? I assumed they were a new band huh.gif

Lacrimosa - now they look like something i'd be into. I'll have to get some of their stuff when i get home.

Lacuna Coil, heard of them?
oolongcha
Nope - I've not heard of them, I'm afraid.

I also liked Cathedral, especially their first album. (Sorry - that's also a bit early 90s). Some of their later stuff is ok, though. Actually, Leo Smee (bass) used to be in my year at school - he joined them in the mid-90s. Bit of a twat actually.

*goes off to google Lacuna Coil*
Scorpio
Oh my, i saw Cathedral supporting HIM too, and ihave to say they were the worst band i've ever seen. The crowd were throwing things at the lead singer and he ended up mooning at us as he left the stage. I didnt realise they'd been around for a long time either

Maybe they're not as good now as they used to be laugh.gif

Their early stuff was certainly different from the more recent stuff - I downloaded a couple of their recent tracks about a year ago (I was surprised that they were still around!).

Perhaps I should find some stuff by HIM - were they good, or was the whole concert a disaster? biggrin.gif

Oh, Lacuna Coil sounded pretty good, from the little I got from the Net so far...
Scorpio
Not sure what you'd think about HIM. Some stuff is fantastic, and others is.. well, crap. They're great live though, Ville Valo is a great front man.

I've downloaded a few Lacrimosa tracks, and they seem pretty good

God my music has changed loads.

Favourate thing to listen to atm is http://neradio.fm/ . Swedish radio station specialising in techno and trance. Some of the mixxes are terrible, but luckily it's a few in many. Best DJ has to be Silver Nikan.

Still listening to my metal, but also got loads of other stuff to. Taken to lynyrd Skynrd alot recently. Got back into Jet which i used to listen to loads.

Found an awesome Coffee house round my area, that regularly has jazz, blues, reggae and laternative gig's on, so spending quiet a bit of time there too.
