I learnt boxing for two years when I was 11. boys were afraid of me. And yet I 've never boxed a match. Only sparred. Good for the cardiovascular though.
My coach focussed on self defence and the mind game side of things rather than killing someone. Nice old bloke he was. He seemed to understand it was a mind sport rather than a boys sport.
Have to respect that. he knew his stuff.

I’m going to have to disagree with all of you – I think karate is way better. It’s the most safest and you are most likely not to get hurt!

I tried to buy a UFC DVD for my birthday from every shop in town where I lived and nobody stocked it because it's illegal!

I don't watch sport so can't give an opinion..... I know so little about boxing that I was not so long ago chatted up by a famous boxer in his 60s!.... I was polite to him and refused his invitation to sit with him and when I walked away, some guy said "do you know who that is?"..... LOL.... not that I cared.... but apparently, I should have done!
