I try to buy from local book shops and have them order if they do not have what I want on the shelf.
For collectibles or oput of print I use the same as you but if I wanted to search further afield I would put the book title in "" on Google and do a general search for the title.

I know you can end up paying a little more at the local bookstore but, as an author, I feel inclined to try to support them as they are a great sales point for self published authors :-)

i find at the charity shop `sense ` you get good value. i bought the book `branson` a hardback.
for 50p, in exellent condition. video`s at 50p, or 3 for a pound, all in good condition. those give-
away discs that newspapers has inside them, all at 20p. all very good value.

they have the video of ` titanic `at 50p....................................................... a job lot i imagine.
